I saw a name playing a resonator guitar and planning it had a fun and uncommon look. Getting the cheapest one here at Amazon (and, rumor has it that, it's is made in China), my expectations were low.I was so bowled over with the tone feature. It really sounds good--and I hadn't realized it is in fact an acoustic-ELECTRIC, which give it a truly amazing value. My fixed AE guitar has a nice, mellow tone and I liked how it sounded even best when I changed to D'Addario strings. I might try uncommon strings here, too, but..then again...why? It really does sound good as is.Not the "same" as my other AE, a bit more naturally enlarged in "acoustic" mode and equally as nice (still abstractedly more "metallic") with an amp.All in all, a conversation piece that really sounds good and isn't at all harder to play--acoustic or gripping--and a GREAT price.

I got this guitar on a whim since I have been looking for a resonator for some time. I have played for 20+ years and aint no droop when it comes to jamming. This guitar has exceeded ALL my expectations. I cannot judge I got this for this price. LOVE it!!!!!

This is my first resonator but I am familiar with the tone of this unusual guitars. These type of guitars have not been renowned to be very expensive but they were never cheap either.For one they cost more to make because of the cone. Aside from that they virtually have the same materials, supplies and processes as making an acoustic guitar.What we have here is a fine example of a resonator. In my opinion suitable for a beginner, intermediate and I would even say a pro. That is if they consider the tone more than the price and the name on the headstock.You see some treat guitars like dogs. They want the pedigree. Otherwise they are not any good. But the Chinese manufacturer's like the Japanese, Taiwanese and Koreans before them. Have figured out the way to make great intruments at reasonable prices. Eventually, they will price themselves out of the game.Some other people will take over. Right now, its a toss up between Indonesia and Vietnam. In the end, no matter what. There will always be a market in this people of that Made in USA guitar. For at least a grand and more than 100% gain. There will always be people making it for them. Either by CNC or by hand.

I've been playing this thing for a week in hopes it would sound better. I detest the detail I gotta take it to get on to flat exhaust before long including I bought it. Keep for heck, it sure does preview nice....

I own and play a Dobro, Johnson Swamp Stomper and just added the Sepele/Zenison as a backup and to simplify stage performance. Just out of the box I was impressed with the workmanship. No setup required. The sound is about a six unplugged and when you plug it in, it blows you away. By and large sound and quality compare to $500 to 600.00 priced guitar.

Consent to's mug it! This is a "despondent-expense" guitar. Though, the sound and proceedings are extremely skilled. Not anything about the close or function suggests a "despondent-expense" guitar. I have played and sold the best and best known guitars available and am absolutely pleased including this lone. I place of safeguard't tried the electrical part, have no reason to. I'm not extremely knowledgeable about "resonator" guitars, so I can't note on the volume compared to much more expensive brands and models. Pro anyone who remembers "$13 Stella", at this calculate is it's successor.

I bought lone of these on Ebay about a month earlier cycle and I actually don't admit what I've got. The narrow part is straight, seems water supply built, proceedings not too distinguished. It's extremely sweet (ladd-dee-daa)and it stays in tune and seems to mess about ok. I don't have a allocation of encounter including resonators so I can't tell you it sounds like no matter what business cheaper or more expensive. It definately DOES NOT sound like an acoustic, and it's not fated to, save pro it also sounds a bit quieter than I expected. I searched pro a even as before to I irrevocably pinned down what "strain" it is. I found similar (though the models were gripping/acoustic ) early SKYLARK and Karerra in anticipation of I found this lone on 2kool4skool and amazon. Neither place is soothe promotion them. I'm 99% guaranteed it's a chinese make including the intention of brands toss their confess logo on.I schooling on bringing it to my local shop pro a review and think it over if it needs a extra cone and or spider & saddle. I don't aspire to deposit too much cash into it as it expense me a little ended $100.00 USD, save pro if I can toss a further 50-100 pro it too sound OUTSTANDING (not just moderately) better, I'll do it.I think it over a gentleman early Vermont bought lone, any feedback valued.

So I just got this guitar in the mail today. I've been messing around on the guitar for about 15 years now and only just became obsessed with delta blues and slide guitar. I've been looking for an inexpensive guitar to pick up and mess around with more and saw this one on line. As far as I can tell this is a unbranded version of the Johnson acoustic resonator that sells for $195. The nice feature about the one I purchased is that it came with a piezo pick up and equalizer for plugging in. The Johnson version has a maple soundwell and likely a better cone and spider. When mine arrived it had a cover plate that was banging around inside the well. Not a big deal since I knew I would be taking the thing apart as soon as I got it anyhow. By and large the guitar looks very nice. Nice round neck, solid, straight neck, good action, easy to fret. The finish looked cheesey on the pictures but in person it is beautiful. The big hang-up is the cone which is a stamped version that is too thick and not properly set up. It has a nice tone in the upper ranges but lacks any power in the bass chords. I have a mechanical background and plan to grind it down to make loosen it up and plan to manipulate the spider a little to get the best tone out of this as I can. Certainly a little work and not something that a proferssional would want to mess with but my guess is that I can make this thing rival a Gold tone at 1/8 the price. The only question is how well it will hold up. But at $105 dollars (bought online at a wholesale store) I'm willing to take the chance. Happy playing.
