my wife bought me this guitar for my birthday (life left handed its hard find guitars to play in the community shop)so its a shot in the dark actually consequence a guitar you THINK you will like. I ongoing before a live audience on a re-strung flipped upside down fender squire so any guitar wouldve been an upgrade but this one exceeded all my view of what a "real" 1st guitar must be. it has taken my before a live audience to a whole new amount. if you are having doubts about a guitar hold look no further and timmy armstrong played lefty too so its perfect, the close is flat which i love, the hellcats at the 3rd 5th 7th 9th frets are cool, and dual skulls at the 12th. the pickguard is beautiful and its got a splendid headstock, what else can i say i love this guitar. ive had it for 8 months and not anything is coming away from each other or in, i did have it set up by a community guitar tech to get the intonation aptly and decrease the action. barre chords were tiresome at first but thats the case no theme the guitar. i will by no means sell this guitar!

I like this guitar, but I must tell you that I do not believe it was strain new as amazon stated. It had wear inscription near the base of the sound hole and the array was by now in the preamp...sounds good and as a lefty beggars can't be choosers. Probably the last amazon hold. I didn't feel like hassling with a restore in view of the fact that structurally the guitar was sound and plays well.

I actually love this guitar. I bought mine right with they first became void, but I was looking through the selection of left-handed guitars and noticed there weren't any reviews for this develop so I feel like it's my duty to put in a good word for it, since mine has served my purposes exceptionally well. Especially for the price. I must note that I actually just play for fun though. I am by no earnings an expert musician or luthier. That being said, my opinion of the hellcat is very high. I didn't buy it based on the strength of Tim Armstrong's signature. Honestly don't care much for him or Rancid. But I had never owned an acoustic-electric before, so I was focusing on them particularly when I ongoing shopping around for a new guitar. I primarily play unplugged, just fiddle with-picking and some blues and stuff like that ordinarily, but I wanted to get something that could be to some extent more versatile than my epiphone well yet to be jumbo. The first business that caught my eye was the awesome dual skull hatch on the twelfth fret, and the cats are sweet damn cool, too. Definitely an aesthetically-only one of its kind guitar. I've also liked every lefty Fender acoustic that I've ever owned. And I love the headstock on this business. Since it was an acoustic-electric that I had been lacking, my decision was sweet much made right then. While I was waiting on it to arrive, I became kind of worried that I had hastily made a poor decision based on how cool the guitar looks. And since I hadn't earlier owned an acoustic-electric, I didn't actually know what to look for as far as the on-penetrate electronics go. But when my hellcat irrevocably made it to my step, I was eventually very satisfied. It sounds very good, though I do wish it was just a modest brighter on the high-end. It has a nice tone and feel to it. It has splendid proceedings, and stays in tune well. You know how now and again the consequence of a guitar can make it eerie to hegemony? Somehow that seems to toss me off a bit with certain guitars, but it complements this one impeccably. The pre-amp and tuner are both fantastic. And the neck is actually comfortable to play on. Just a splendid guitar all around, I think. I place of safeguard't ever regretted export this one for a following. Aside from the comment I made privileged than about the high clarification, there are only two small equipment about it I would change if I could: First, it's quieter than your average acoustic if you're not before a live audience it through your amp. I live in an apartment and now and again I like to play for a while later at night, so possibly this is even kind of a plus for me. But as long as my neighbors aren't complaining yet, I would still very that it projected just a modest more. And following, I'm a better guy and this guitar is super-comfortable to play, but it seems just a modest too small for me in person. Just my opinion, though. Like I mentioned, my additional guitar is a jumbo so possibly it just seems that way tome. Anyway, the hellcat is a splendid instrument, especially for the price array. I would urge it to any guitar player, doubly so to additional southpaws who are tired of paying $50-$100 more than their right handed acquaintances and still only being able to find the most boring and/or low-end models that each maker has to offer.

I actually waffled on the 4 or 5 stars....wish there was 4.5I bought this lacking ever having seen or played one in self as lefty's are very hard to come by even in big shops like guitar center. Since of this i purchased based on looks and reviews... was not disappointedThe mahogany top and the very near martin O run shape had the look i was after.. the cat inlays are very cool and only one of its kind the skulls at the 12th don't do much for me but ah well.The neck is my pledge pet...slim very near strat like with that vintage maple look and rosewood fretboard make it awe-inspiring for gripping players like myselfi did spend $35 being paid the weigh down shaved to lower the proceedings approx 1/8 in and it now plays butter charming and quick (even my guitars costing 3 to 4 times as much looked-for at least minor adjustments before to they were in the butter zone)The sound is only one of its kind with the mahogany top and maple neck it has a nice quiet ring to it and best sustain than most I've played south of the $1000 rangeResponds great to changes in pick hit from quiet to an very near dirty stark sound that brings to mind smoke to the top bars with sawdust on the floor... the more i play it the more variations i seem to find in the sound and the more i love iti do own a Taylor and while the fender wont match its bell like tones (comes close but hey its under $400 not the $1200 Taylor) the Taylor just wont seem to give me that grit that a hard hit brings out in the fenderif i had to keep just one of the 2 it would doubtless be the fender since while bell like tones and clarity are nice usefulness wins out (primarily with an $800 alteration in price)can't wait till the top ages in and actually opens up

I was excited to hear this guitar, but when I opened the box, I discovered you sent me a aptly-handed translation of this guitar! Very dissapointing. I'm glad that Amazon has a moderately user-forthcoming restore plan, but it would have been nice to have had the choice of replacing the ill-treat item with the assess one. As a long-time Amazon fill in limb, this is one of the few occasions in which I have been dissapointed in the consequences of my shopping encounter.
