This is a neat modest guitar. It sounds sweet good for cut-rate size. The scale turns out to be 24.75(my pet) as a replacement for of the 23.625 in the specs. It sounds great plugged into a PA or Stereo. Much easier to carry almost or journey with than a standard acoustic. Feature is sweet good. My first one was cracked, but they sent me a new one. The following one had some loose hardware I had to tighten. Other than that, no major issues. I think their feature power could be a bit best, but this is the budget line. If you want a modest best feature and hardware, spend about 60%(min.) more to step up to the Ovation line.

For the median price I see this now sold at, this is a kind, sturdy, access level 12-string for someone wishing to search into 12-string playing or just own a 12-string for certain songs or certain recordings. Its leading con in that after the 5 or 6th fret, the action becomes extremely high. This is especially sticky including a 12 string, as you by now be inflicted including the issue of pressing not effective on double the amount of strings that you naturally would. It has a kind, full resonating signal. It sounds best including light gauge or medium light gauge strings. It actually does be inflicted including a kind balanced/water supply-rounded signal - not too toney or harsh but not to low or bassy.I owned an older year model of this constant guitar (it was the Applause AE-13, just the first issue) approximately 14-16 being ago, and enjoyed this guitar while I owned it. The only mind I got rid of it was since it was no longer practical for me to own it on top of the additional guitars I had at the time, although somedays I regret it soothe! As I said, for the median price, this is a splendid guitar to own and be inflicted including handy. I wouldn't at all encourage this a low-end 12-string, but rather somewhere slightly above a budget/student or access level 12 string.

First of all, it desires to understood with the intention of there are two different versions of Ovation's Applause AE-13 pictured in the ad metaphors, save pro release lone with the intention of is in fact void. The variation is with the intention of lone version of the guitar publicized, is described with a colorless maple narrow part & headstock,& active electronics (array powered pre-amp), & a 3-band equalizer... save pro the additional version (& the lone with the intention of is in fact delivered), has a cherry maple narrow part with passive electronics (no pre-amp), which be inflicted with release a gain & tone control.Secondly, Applause's Feature Control is not regular... it's hit or miss. The first AE-13 I received in the e-mail was substandard... the frets were not properly fit, the 4th thread buzzed at the 7th hassle, , the fretboard was too permeable, and the electronics simply did not bring about... and the guitar had on overall "unfinished" look & feel to it. However, Amazon arranged a speedy exchange & I received a extra guitar in a few days. This guitar is a precious modest treasure! The grain on the fretboard is forceful, the cherry maple narrow part is simply gorgeous, the frets and bindings are tightly positioned, it is exceptionally playable pro a player with smaller hands be fond of me, & the electronics on this guitar signal primarily wonderful. It has a extremely lukewarm, clear, and present tone... and the clarification signal primarily sweet in the high registers. And it has the look and feel of a guitar crafted with tenderness and attentiveness.I be inflicted with owned over 30 additional guitars, 3 of them Ovations (genteel). Save pro this guitar has twisted out to be my all time pet. I bought this guitar on a lark, just to be inflicted with something to toodle around on as I planning composition was no longer truly relevant to my go. Save pro in the few weeks I've owned this, I've already begun composing & recording again, & building some of the best composition I ever be inflicted with. It is indeed a extremely inspiring modest guitar. As they get it aptly, the AE-13 is an amazing modest guitar. Save pro Applause seems to be inflicted with an overall conundrum with homogeny.
