I bought this model new years ago, and I am pleased about how well it was made. For a 12-thread, it is also easier on the fretting hand to play than most. Its sound is categorically huge when it is plugged in to a touch w/good speakers and the sweet on-board EQ is set appropriately. My only real gripe about this guitar is that the sound is sweet thin (quiet by and large and very weak lows) when played acoustically - not a huge issue for me in this case since I ordinarily play it plugged in. It is not actually made for studio tape or even a truly unplugged normal. If you are shopping for a rocking 12-thread to play on stage, this may be the one for you. - G. I'v been before a live audience guitar close to 50 years. During that time, I've owned some very cheap (Marco Polo??, Kent, Silvertone) and very expensive (Martin, Taylor, Maton) guitars. I've everlastingly wanted a Takamine and, after reading a few reviews (and read-owing to my fiscal proclamation), I purchased this EG363SC.At first I planning there was a touch wrong with it since I couldn't feel the strings when I pressed them onto the fretboard. The proceedings is that good!! I was making plans to take it in for a setup, but I honestly don't see the need! The tone is different than the Maton, Martin and Taylor - not best or worse - different in a good sense. It is brighter than the Maton, yet full. Not as commanding as the Martin, yet exciting. Received the guitar in 7 days with free shipping. IMO, extremely instant compelling into account I'm in Tokyo! However, the guitar had a tiny crack in the dapper top aptly at the top edge of the abilone inlay. I don't reconcile it was shipping damage since the box was not damaged, however it was shipped in just the triangular first manufacturer box with just a couple pieces of tape wrapped around the box at only two seats. Damage may have been due to an hasty temperature exchange during shipping, but I reconcile it was probably a manufacture/inspection issue. I at once went online and in black and white out the restore categorize, etc., and requested a replacement guitar be sent. To my bolt from the blue, less than a day later, Amazon had by now shipped a replacement! I assumed Amazon would need to hear my restore former to shipping a replacement. In 2010, I finally decided to go buy an acoustic guitar, but I was leaning the acoustic/electric route. Originally I was thinking about trying approximately Ovation guitars, but those didn't produce the warm signal I was looking for. I tried a few out on the roadblock, but when I started to play this one I knew it was for me. The action isn't painfully high, the signal it produces is warm and full, it's made very well, and it's a beautiful color. I ended up ordering it somewhere online where it included a emancipated, rather decent tricky-shell case and I've been before a live audience it ever since, not regretting a moment.I'll rarely use the electric option as it sounds wonderful as an acoustic. I came back to playing guitar after in this area 30 being, I selected up a classical and an acoustic thrilling. I always wanted a 12 string so i started trying many out to see what was out there. I tried a Fender, Martin, Great greeting, Seagull and Taylor. The Taylor was the best out the bunch until I tried the Takamine G Series 12 banger! The Taylor would be inflicted including deprivation me over $2100. The Takamine was only in this area 1/4 of the price! I establish the TAK. to be extremely playable and had wonderful signal! The narrow section is plenty wide flush for my fat sausage fingers, and it has a wonderful close. The electronic tuner works extremely water supply and the EQ is extremely kind as hooked up to an AMP. I installed D'Addario strings as I got it family and it sounds flush best.
