Terrific regard and signal. Good for before a live audience acoustically or owing to an amp. Built in tuner is a very cool addition.

I have had this bass for about three weeks. It plays beautifully, even right out of the box. It has an amazing acoustic sound, very full and passionate, may maybe even hold up hostile to an acoustic guitar. I actually be fond of the top sound fissure, makes it easier to take see of for myself even as playing with others. The built in tuner is clever, and straightforward to use. Tuners look solid with no waggle. My single issue has to do with the plugged in sound. I'm not used to this bass yet, so it will probably exchange with use. The plugged in sound is too bright for my go, and each little blast comes through the amp. I'm not guaranteed how to build up up the sound without bringing up the rear the acoustic feature.By and large, this is a splendid bass. I am not too habitual with acoustic basses in general, and I don't have greatly basis of comparison, but I would vastly urge it.

I bought the Boulder Arroyo mostly as a practice instrument... something I could keep next to my desk and use to run scales, copy licks from Spotify, etc. On that notch, it's been terrific. The only evaluation I have isn't with the BC but with the fact that any acoustic body instrument is inane to change your playing position a bit. On that notch, the front edge of the bass kind of digs into my forearm a modest. Not a lot but it takes some getting used to, like inane from a Telecaster to a Martin. If not, it's got a nice acoustic tone and must be loud enough to play with other acoustic stringed instruments (unless the guitar player plays like Richie Havens). Being an acoustic, your volume is your attack so the BC is a good way to build technique, strength and consistency.I'm still working with the stock strings and suspect I'll be a modest more comfortable with the Sadowskys I'm used to.Overall, I recommend it.
