The Yamaha APX500II is a clad guitar, I don't know a splendid guitar if you are a beginner. I purchased this guitar for use at place of worship in our chidlren's generous assemble background. The guitar is plugged frankly into the PA, and if I do play it unplugged, it's in front of a very tiny assemble. I do not use it for fingerpicking - lots of kids songs and worship songs. These are important points to bring up because the APX does not have a "big" signal. Feature of tone is very subjective. In this case, the thinline shape and smaller body make for a very sharp, almost thin signal. When plugged in, it's austerely fantastic. The Yamaha electronics (Piezo Pick Up)are top cut. Enunciate and full come to mind. Unplugged, it's calm down and has less low end than you force estimate from an acoustic. The neck width is narrower than a full size and it is probably not ultimate for a fiddle with picker. The built in tuner and equalizer are nice, but not remarkable.I don't want to make it out to be all bad even if. I am an gripping guy and the APX the the boards very similiar to persons guitars. The smaller body is comfortable, the leap neck is very fast compared to most acoustic guitars and when using ordinary amp (I use a Vox or ginger), the pointer is easier to power becuase of the smaller body.Everlastingly, the smaller size is easy for my kids to handle and soothe have a "real" guitar as different to the tiny family tree's guitars that are typically not much best than a toy. Feature with Yamaha is not a concern at all. Why only three stars? This is not a levelheaded top guitar, the signal is very tiny for an acoustic and long term, anyone honest about before a live audience will probably upgrade. There are also several competitors made by signal brands that can feature better and best tones and best tuners or EQ's. Also, due to the smaller size fingerpicking, a big part of many acoustic players repertoire is tougher.

I had gotten in trade into learning guitar after bringing up the rear interest when i was 19 or 20. Water supply I subdue had an old cheap strat copy and hated going and plugging it in to play and by no means sounded how i sought after. I finally bit the bullet and got me an acoustic. In view of the fact that i got this guitar I be inflicted including played every single day the last few months. I put some medium strings on it and it sounds great, I tenderness the smaller body style of this guitar, the primary reason i chose this guitar. The finish is great, the action is flush better. It sounds great plugged in as water supply, the built in tuner is priceless as water supply.
