Takamine Pro Series EF381SC Dreadnought 12 String Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural with Case Shopper Review
I bought this model new years ago, and I am pleased about how well it was made. For a 12-thread, it is also easier on the fretting hand to play than most. Its sound is categorically huge when it is plugged in to a touch w/good speakers and the sweet on-board EQ is set appropriately. My only real gripe about this guitar is that the sound is sweet thin (quiet by and large and very weak lows) when played acoustically - not a huge issue for me in this case since I ordinarily play it plugged in. It is not actually made for studio tape or even a truly unplugged normal. If you are shopping for a rocking 12-thread to play on stage, this may be the one for you.

Takamine Pro Series EF381SC Dreadnought 12 String Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural with Case
Here's one of those little bits of guitar trivia that never fails to bolt from the blue broadcast when you spring it at them: Takimine guitars are in fact named after the Takamine Mountains in Sakashita, Japan. It's at the base of these mountains that Takamine guitars have been made for over 40 years! What began as a small family affair has evolved into one of the chief guitar manufacturers in the world. The company opened its doors while guitar playing was gaining popularity in Japan during the early 60's. As affair grew, the owners saw the need to mend their skills and pull towards you design and manufacturing talent. One of the most important additions to the company was Mass Hirade, who joined Takamine in 1968 and made killer improvements to the design and build feature. The EF381SC is in the company's Keystone Series and is a stunning model of Takamine's obsession with construction the best guitars that still come with reasonable price tags. For stuck-up tone, it features a solid dapper top and the time-veteran formula of maple back and sides with a solid mahogany neck.
