So I'm looking to upgrade to a more expensive guitar from my $250 Yamaha (which is a great guitar) and I go to Guitar Center to play a range of quality. I ask the sales guy which guitar in the acoustic room is the "best bang for the buck". He immediately hands me this Seagull. I was little skeptical because I'd never heard the name before but man was he aptly. This guitar is beautiful in looks and signal. I played everything in that room that was close to the $500 price of the Seagull and nothing came close. I also played this thing against approximately $1000 clear Martins, Gibsons, Takamines and Taylors and this thing sounded as good as many of them although not all. My companion (who is a really good guitarist) agreed. This guitar is sweet. I barely want to put it down. If you don't reconcile me, go into a Guitar Center and play one before you buy it. Awesome accoustic guitar, great sound, easy to play. Came as advertised would definately recommend. Consider it a bargain at the price.

I have owned this guitar for two being and I am not disappointed with my hold but with conception so many 5 star, greatest-guitar-ever reviews I feel that it's valuable to add my experiences.First, it sounds splendid. The signal is rich and loud and the neck inflection is good. Without that it wouldn't be value discussing.Following, here is an incredible amount of regard in this model: Canadian/US made (my understanding is that some parts come from NH), cutaway, thrilling, built-in tuner, quality parts all for below $500. No line of reasoning here.Everywhere I expire from many other reviewers is that idea that this guitar would be the splendid at twice the price. Honestly, if someone handed me $1000 cash and said buy any acoustic/thrilling cutaway I doubt I would end up with this guitar.Here's why:1. My luthier who has been effective on my guitars for 20 being, told me the neck wood is flawed. The neck is early to twist at about the 7th fret. For now it's okay but in the long run it's doomed.2. The wiring utilize surrounded by the body detached from the side of the guitar with about 6 months and had to be re-emotionally involved.3. I hang the guitar on my wall and the pick-care for at a snail's pace slid downward in anticipation of it came to rest on the join due to gravity. It total it moved about 3/8" but it left a gooey filtrate on the face of the guitar.4. The top is EXTREMELY soft. If you're not a super austere self this is value compelling into account as it will get dinged up pretty fast. If you hope to use the guitar for gigging this is a in tears to thought-out.5. The integrated phono-jack port and belt pin is a silly idea. Very few straps fit around the vessel and it would be quite easy to damage any the guitar, the electronics or the cord with that setup.By and large, all these things top to the shortcuts that Seagull took in making this guitar.Still, a splendid $500 guitar.

I have owned and play this guitar for more than two being (bought brand new).I had to waste the total day to try 40 to 50 guitars hung on the wall in GC, and influence on this one as it sounds better than many guitars assess 1200$ (plugged or un-plugged).It sounds warm and loud (un-plugged).The only minor gripe I have is the buttons are too small and have no inscription to indicate their amount settings (I had to paint thin affect on the buttons so I can see their settings, reasonably easy task to do).The guitar is made in Canada with very good quality. There is nothing wrong I can find on it, except for replacing the factory strings with strings of my choice.
